We first met Miryam as a rapporteur of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund during the development phase of LYFE. She had clearly studied our dossier thoroughly and came with sharp questions from the very first conversation, but with remarkable respect and love for our story and characters. Because of this we decided to continue working on the script with her as Creative Development Coach after we secured development funding. It was a challenging assignment. Over three short residencies we had to define our theme more clearly, sharpen our intentions and cut 30 pages from the script. Thanks to Miryam’s experience, artistic background and expertise it became nine intense yet efficient working days that we look back on with a deeply warm feeling.
Miryam is way more than a script coach. She helped us clarify our production dossier and gave us confidence when we were lacking it. It’s reassuring to know that we can turn to her at every stage of the process, whether it’s for this project or the next.
